About Us
The Group Travel Leader Inc and Pioneer Publishing Inc are Lexingon, Kentucky – based publishing companies that have combined forces to publish Winning Sports Meetings and Destinations. Mac Lacy and Charlie Presley are the principals in The Group Travel Leader Inc. Lacy and Herb Sparrow are the principals in Pioneer Publishing Inc.
These two companies began co-publishing Winning Sports Meetings and Destinations in November 2008 as a means of delivering two vital new audiences to the sports event industry—leisure travel planners who deliver millions of fans to sports events each year and meeting planners whose delegations use sports events and venues across the country during conferences and corporate outings. These companies maintain a joint membership in and sponsor level commitment to the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) in order to educate travel planners, meeting planners and destinations about the growing industry of sports event marketing.
